Refund Policy

A legal disclaimer

Leiphamstay's refund policy depends on factors like who cancelled (guest or host), the reservation's cancellation policy, and whether a major disruptive event occurred. Guests may receive a full refund if the host cancels or if a covered issue disrupts their stay, while hosts can also issue partial or full refunds to guests to resolve problems.

Host Cancellation

  • Booking Credit:

You may be offered booking credit instead of a refund, which can be used for another reservation. If you don't use the credit within 72 hours, you'll automatically receive a full refund.

  • Payment Method:

The refund is sent to the payment method you used for the booking, with processing times depending on your bank or financial institution.

  • Full Refund:

If a host cancels a reservation, you'll automatically receive a full refund, including service fees.

Guest Cancellation

  • Cancellation Policy:

Your refund eligibility for a guest cancellation is generally determined by the specific cancellation policy of the listing you booked.

  • Requesting an Exception:

If you've missed the free cancellation window, you can request an exception to your host's cancellation policy. The host has 24 hours to respond.

Refunds for Issues During Your Stay

  • Reservation Issues:

If a "Covered Issue" disrupts your stay (such as a problem with the home itself), Leiphamstay may provide a full or partial refund depending on the severity of the issue and the extent of the impact on your stay.

  • Reporting an Issue:

Guests must report such issues to Leiphamstay within 72 hours of discovering them.

  • Rebooking Assistance:

Leiphamstay may also offer to help find a similar, comparable place to stay instead of providing a refund.

Major Disruptive Events

  • Covered Events:

In rare cases, large-scale events like declared public health emergencies or epidemics may prevent or legally prohibit the completion of a reservation.

  • Policy Application:

If a Major Disruptive Event Policy applies, guests can receive a refund or travel credit, and hosts may be able to cancel without penalty.
